Javier Betancourt

Began the After School Music program in 2021, when FCA Prosper first opened. Mr. B oversees the entire program and teaches the Advanced Orchestra. His specialty is in cello, but also teaches violin, viola, and bass. In addition to performing, Mr. B enjoys listening to live music, sports, documentaries, cooking, trying new foods, and traveling, especially when it’s to see his family.

Naomi Epler

Teaches elementary music at FCA Prosper. She is a violinist and educator with a Bachelor's degree in Instrumental Music Education. At FCA Prosper she teaches students to sing and enjoy musical instruments. Beyond the elementary music classroom, Ms. Epler shares her knowledge of string instruments with our Kinder through 4th-grade Beginner Orchestra students. Ms. Epler teaches all orchestral strings.

Kendall Haight

A graduate of the University of North Texas, Mr. Haight is a Jazz trumpeter who teaches our Band students. He specializes in trumpet and is very proficient on all brass instruments. Mr. Haight is a very busy musician, performing in the Dallas Fort Worth area and all across the United States, with many of the leading musicians in the DFW Metroplex.

Brenda Martinez

Is currently a junior studying Music Education with a concentration in flute at the University of North Texas. She is currently the President of Women Band Directors International for the UNT chapter which aims to provide a space for women in a male dominated field. As well as performing with the UNT Green Brigade Marching band, Ms. Martinez served as a Flute section leader for the 2023 season. She serves as our Woodwind Specialist.

Johnathan Ramos

Currently studying at the University of North Texas, he is a Violinist & Violist - an alumni from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA) and the Young String Program by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. He has performed(s) with the UNT Orchestra, Dallas Theatre, and Fort Worth Civic Orchestra. He also has a cat named Chamoy who is bilingual, like Mr Ramos who is getting fluent in Portuguese. He will be assisting with our violin and viola students.

Liam McCabe

Liam is a graduate of the University of North Texas's jazz studies program. He loves sharing his passion for guitar with all levels of students, whether they're just beginning or on their way to becoming a seasoned pro. When he isn't teaching, you can catch him playing in various pit orchestras around DFW or on a summer tour with one of the bands from Denton's thriving art scene. Mr. McCabe is a multi instrumentalist and teaches our FCA guitar students
